Photowalk’s at Photoshop World Las Vegas!

I’ve been kicking around the idea of hosting a photowalk while in Las Vegas for the Photoshop World conference for a long while now and finally got all the pieces together. It took me a little while to decide what exactly I wanted to do because I wanted to make sure that I didn’t conflict with anything that NAPP was hosting with Photoshop World and also to talk to some of the photographers that I know that have been to Las Vegas before.
What I have decided on may not work out for everyone but I think many people will really like it. Since I will not be attending any of the pre-conference workshops on Wednesday September 30th, I am going to hold the photowalk that afternoon for anyone else who happens to be in town and not attending any of the pre-con workshops. Well, I should say that anyone can attend even if you are attending a pre-con workshop and can make the time for the photowalk.
For anyone wanting to go on the photowalk, we will meet at 4pm Las Vegas time in the main lobby of the Mandalay Bay Hotel where the conference is being held. The walk will start shortly thereafter and end around 6:30pm. Sunset appears to be just after 7pm on that day so we should get some really nice shadows near the middle and end of the walk. Make sure to bring plenty of water because it is still going to be quite warm out during that time of the year!
Details: Wednesday, September 30th at 4:00 pm in the Mandalay Bay Hotel lobby.
If you are planning on attending this photowalk, please leave a comment or send me an email so I can get a good idea of how many people are going to attend. There are no limits as to how many people can attend… if the group gets too big then we can split it up into smaller groups so that we don’t create a panic by having too many tripods within close proximity with each other!

Artistic Photo Canvas is awarding a single large canvas for the winning photo from the photowalk. After Photoshop World is over, anyone that went on the photowalk can upload their best image to a Flickr group that I will create. I will pick my favorite image and that person will receive the large canvas of that image from APC!!

Yes I will attend this if I am not sitting somewhere on a winning streak. I am glad there is at least one thing planned for the 30th as I am leaving Vegas on the 1st so will not get to take advantage of anything else there.
