My brothers and I are planning a camping trip over the Memorial Day weekend for our families. In preparation for the trip a few of us went out to Ocala National Forest yesterday to scout campsites. When we first got to the forest area we pulled into a small parking lot to get the GPS and the map software online so we could explore some of the lesser traveled areas (i.e. those with no roads). I saw a trail head sign and thought the trail and the clouds behind it looked really cool so I grabbed my camera and got to work.
The process I used for the piece below is the same as the others… I put the camera on +/-2 stop bracketing and multi-shot. As usual I didn’t have my tripod with me so all the shots were hand held. I would make up a good story about how I pulled out my tripod and a bunch of park (power) rangers jumped out of the bushes true FBI style to find out what I was doing (click HERE to get the joke) but in all honesty it was a simple matter of me forgetting it at home. I kept my tripod in the car for two weeks and didn’t use it once but as soon as I take it out I need it. Irony at its finest.
So enough already… here’s my latest piece.
